As Group Internal Auditor, you will lead and further develop internal audit across the Postcode Lottery Group. We are looking for someone who combines Big Four experience at Manager level or above with substantial in-house experience. You have led audit teams, developed an internal audit function across multiple countries and worked directly with Boards and senior executives. In this role, you will bring that experience to a Group with five lotteries, while continuing to conduct audits yourself.

The Postcode Lottery Group operates subscription lotteries in the Netherlands, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Germany and Norway, together raising €1 billion every year for local and international charities. Each lottery has its own history, local context and way of working. You will build a shared audit approach that connects them while recognising those differences.

You will work closely with the Audit Committee and Executive Board. That means presenting clear findings, discussing risks at the highest level and challenging decisions constructively. Just as important is your ability to build trust with colleagues across the Group and bring them together around a consistent approach to internal audit.

What you’ll do:

• Develop and maintain the Group Internal Audit framework, including the Audit Charter, methodologies, standards and reporting formats.
• Design and coordinate a risk-based audit plan that connects local priorities with Group-level risks.
• Conduct financial, operational, IT and compliance audits, and ensure clear, consistent documentation.
• Coordinate the international audit community and strengthen shared standards for quality, ways of working and reporting.
• Present findings and practical recommendations to the Audit Committee and Executive Board, and monitor their follow-up.
• Build strong relationships with local leadership, external auditors and other assurance functions.

You’d describe yourself as follows:

• You have at least 10 years of experience in internal audit, risk or a related assurance discipline, including experience at Manager level or above within a Big Four firm.
• You have substantial in-house internal audit experience within an international, commercially oriented organisation.
• You have led audit professionals and developed an internal audit function across multiple countries or entities.
• You have been a direct conversation partner for a Board, Audit Committee or C-level executives and can challenge them constructively.
• You hold a relevant professional qualification, such as RA, RE, CIA, CISA, ACCA or CPA.
• You know internal audit standards and governance, risk and control frameworks well, and are willing to conduct audits yourself.
• You listen carefully, build trust and work effectively with people whose priorities and ways of working differ.
